Storm water from street drains has eroded soiled and trench in back of house. This trench is now presenting a hazard to area. It is on the Heritage Golf . Wake Forest Zoning notified and sent rep out to view. It appears to be a Storm Water Run Off take it causing the problem...water is fed by street drains.
This trench is greatly affected by the WF Storm drains that feed into it. Dunn Maple Drive has street drains that empty into this trench that runs into a pond at the far end of the Golf Course. I believe Federal regulations are concerned when street storm drains are employed to handle rain run off. Please look at this problem from Storm Water viewpoint. Thank youj.
As for the specific drainage issue you mentioned, we want to assure you that the Town of Wake Forest does own a storm drainage easement above the ditch line in question. While we may not be able to work directly on private property, we will assess the situation and see if there are steps that can be taken within the town-owned easement to help slow down the water exiting the outfall.
We are committed to finding ways to improve the stormwater infrastructure in Wake Forest.
Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work towards ensuring the safety and wellbeing of our community. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any additional questions or concerns.
Thank you. I’m concerned from a safety standpoint…the trench depth caused by storm water is 6-8 feet deep at points. Children playing nearby or golfers could sustain injuries if they fell into it. I did notify WF code enforcement and storm mgt as to issue. I sent problem to Fix It as well. I can send you photos of tench area concerned. Please send email address to send photos to.
for now I have put the Town owned outfall on the list for maintenance to slow down the water.
please give us time to find a remedy if possible for the ditch line behind your residence.
Thank you.
