• The leaf pick up occurs a bit differently than the regular yard waste collection. The driver goes through the weekly routes but sometimes, during busy periods, the leaf collection for Wednesday’s route may take 3 days to complete and a full rotation of weekly collection can take up to 2 weeks. However, we are not a peak busy season at this time so the time for collection should not be quite as long. That being said, I do encourage you to check the Leaf Hotline for updates about where the truck is operating. The hotline is usually updated every morning by 8am. The Leaf Hotline is 919.435.9582. Please continue to leave your leaves out for collection and make sure they are not under any powerlines/trees, not blocked by obstructions, and are close enough to the curb for collection.
