Description

I reside on Clearsprings Drive and I observe daily the blatant and dangerous ignoring of the speed limit signage and those insignificant so-called speed humps.. During the week between 7am and 9am motorists are racing thru our neighborhood often with blind abandon! They treat those nearly flat speed bumps like a skate boarder getting a thrill. And, for those actually slows down for the humps they seem to floor it as if they lost so much time? In the mornings we have nearly 30 school-aged kids playing car dodgeball as they're trying to cross the street to catch their school bus(s)! What even more baffling is we have 2 Wake Forest police officers living on my street with school-aged kids! On weekends these same kids are playing in their yards with balls or toys that naturally make their way out into the street. Near misses have occurred more times than before the installation of your "speed bumps". On several occasions I've witnessed dog walkers jerking their animals from the path of a speeding motorist!

DO we need to purchase help from the Raleigh Police force in order to get a handle on this dangerous issue? I'm going on record with this report as I'm certain an accident will happen.
