  • S Franklin St Wake Forest, NC, 27587, USA - Wake County

Excessive speeding from 98 to Rogers Road in both directions on South Franklin. No traffic enforcement ever noticed. This should have been addressed a long time ago at this point.

Requesting increased traffic enforcement and addition of speed humps.

  • 590 Traditions Grande Blvd Wake Forest, NC, 27587, USA - Wake County
We have had several near misses with pedestrian and bike riding students crossing traditions grande boulevard at the round about (while using the crosswalk) to get to Envision Science Academy in the morning for school. The cars in the round about do not slow down for the children nor is there a natural break in traffic since it is a round about and cars are not required to fully stop.
  • Durham Rd & Legacy Falls Dr Wake Forest, NC, 27587, USA - Wake Forest
Everyday, many cars are making illegal u-turns after coming out of the Crenshaw Corners parking lot. Since only right turns are allowed, the drivers enter on Durham Rd. and immediately go to the left lane, and then onto the yellow cross hatched area which has double, double yellow lines separating the traffic flowing in opposite directions. This is located at the intersection of Durham Rd. and Jones Wynd (the entrance to Crenshaw Manor). Cars making a left from Jones Wynd onto Durham Rd have to extremely careful that they do not collide with a car making these illegal u turns to go back south on Durham Rd. This problem has only become worse as more businesses have opened up in Crenshaw Corners and the traffic has increased.

Cars are racing around the corner towards the crosswalk. Please consider placing speed bumps in this RESIDENTIAL area as people are using Franklin street as a cut through. Children walk to the bus stop here and use the crosswalk to get to the playground. There will be a horrible accident if the safety complaints of the children continue to be ignored.
  • 400 Holding Lake Court Zebulon, NC, 27587, USA - Wake County
    N. Franklin St and S. Franklin St have multiple cars a day go the wrong way due to poor signage. Every side street and parking lot entrance to these streets needs a One Way sign asap. No turn signals are ignored. Yesterday alone I counted 7 cars go the wrong way (including a USPS truck).
  • 1753-2999 Heritage Center Dr Wake Forest, NC, 27587, USA - Wake Forest
Traffic leaving either the Dunkin or Starbucks side of the road are often at odds with each other and racing the perpendicular traffic which does not have a stop sign. Same for leaving the street by the medical center complex next to the baseball fields. Can a timed traffic light be installed? Traffic circle? There have been multiple MVC's in this area over the years.
  • S Franklin St Wake Forest, NC, 27587, USA - Wake County
Less than 90 seconds of standing on the curb, 25-39 miles per hour noted. Then was nearly run over by an inattentive driver while in the cross walk when another truck stopped to let me cross.
  • 504 Basin Hill Drive Zebulon, NC, 27587, USA - Wake County
Black Mercedes Sedan is seen every weekday morning between 7:15 & 7:35 speeding (Radar signs flash 45-49 MPH) down South Franklin going Northbound (around 7:15 a.m.) and then again going Southbound (around 7:30-7:35 a.m). Clearly using S. Franklin as a cut through and ignoring 25 mph speed limit.
  • 1911 Heritage Branch Rd Wake Forest, NC 27587, USA - Wake Forest
Drivers turning left out of Heritage Branch consistently fail to yield to drivers making a right turn from across the intersection. I've been there once a week for the past three months and have a near miss each time from someone who fails to yield. They need a flashing arrow, a sign to remind them of basic driving rules, or a green arrow light.

Speeds past me in the outside lane to beat the family crossing in the crosswalk. Ends up at the stoplight at 98. Hope you made it to your destination on time after speeding through our neighborhood and almost hitting a family.

From the neighborhood page: "Is there anyone to contact for additional signage by the clubhouse and the back of the neighborhood to inform people which way to drive?? My husband was almost hit head on by someone driving the wrong way going towards 98, as he was driving towards Franklin. She was doing about 40mph and was flailing her arms around as if she was in the right because my husband did not move out of the way. She then turned into the new neighborhood. This is about the 4th or 5th time both of us have run into people driving the wrong way. I am sure we aren’t the only people that have seen this. This is only going to get worse. Can people be this clueless or just lazy to drive around to get to their street in the new part of the neighborhood?"

"I contacted the town back in March because I almost got hit head on with two kids in the car. They said they’ve been in contact with the developer about more signage (seemed like WF was pointing the finger at the developer)."

"The other day a wake county sheriff patrol car was going the wrong way. I flashed him then he realized what he did."
